Just a few ways to keep your mind, body, and soul at peace.

Go for a run outside to clear your mind.

These songs keep me going.

Beautiful

Running from errand to errand or class to class on our nine to five schedules, no one really has time to appreciate everything that is around them. Whether you forget to text/call someone back or walk by a flower and not take the time to smell and appreciate its beauty, someone or something is being neglected. Often times we take life too seriously. What is life without its beautiful people, places, and things? Nothing. Life is not always about the grades you make but the hands you shake. Meet new people, try new foods, do something out of your comfort zone, be sweet rather than just nice...

Just make your life worth living.

Kashish Ali

ps: I'm pretty sure this is the best feeling ever.

Quick Tips and Tricks!

I've come across some quick and easy tricks to make some of our lives a little easier.

Instead of icing, add a marshmallow to your cupcakes.

Just add glitter nail polish to your keys!

Use old light bulbs as mini vases.

Use old baby food jars to make homemade snow-globes!

Flip your toaster on its side and grill cheese in it!

I found all of these on Pinterest. It's probably the best thing that has happened to me since sliced bread.

Krafty Kashish

Santa Monica, California at Mel-O-Dee Montessori...that is where my passion for crafting began. Kindergarden was hands down one of the best years of schooling I've ever experienced. Mrs. Pam always knew how to have a good time with paper, glue, and a pair of crafty scissors.

This winter break I decided instead of buying all my holiday gifts, I would devote a little time to craft. Crafting really is a heart felt and thoughtful gesture. It means so much more than a gift card.

These are some of the crafts I made for my friends this holiday.

I bought plain ornaments from Hobby Lobby and painted them. I added a ribbon and customized the ornament by painting the first initial of my friends' names.

With the same paint, I painted wine glasses. I used Extreme Glitter Acrylic Paint from Hobby Lobby.

I did not use a brush to paint either one, I used my finger.
Both of these crafts were simple and a lot of fun!

Crafting with food is my favorite though. It makes life so delicious.
With the NBA back, I will definitely be making plenty these.

Moving forward, the holidays have ended and now it is time to go back to reality. I had such an amazing time with all my family and friends. I seriously am so blessed to have such great people in my life. Looking back at the mistakes, memories, and lessons I have experienced, I have grown and learned so much. I am ready for what this year has to bring. Excellent grades, new friendships, and beautiful memories are about to be made. I hope you all are ready.

PS: Be happy regardless. Everyone is going through something or another. Be there for your friends and be there for your family. It is tough but let go of the past. Move on. Express the love you have for the people around you, they might not know how much they mean to you. Life is really passing us by, why be anything but happy?
