If you are reading this, I am so sorry I've been so terrible with keeping up with this blog. I really appreciate you taking out the time to read this and I hope I've made some sort of smile come across your face.
Anyway, I've been drowning in school work, secretary work, camp work, and so on. Life is seriously catching up to me. After being given all this responsibility, I really don't want to grow up. But thats not a choice I have, so might as well make the best of it.
When I am given a few hours of freedom throughout the week, what do I do? I BAKE. I created a new recipe that has made all my friends love me more. Of course they don't love me for me, but only for my desserts.
*Confession: I've always been scared of making cookies, they are so intimidating but not anymore :)
Cookiesgonewild:
This is not your average cookie. It's probably one of the greatest desserts I've come up with.
What you'll need:
* A normal chocolate chip cookie recipe / a packet of cookie dough. (click here if you do not like ready made cookie dough)
* Nutella
*Cool Whip / homemade whipped cream
* Powdered Sugar
*Cooking Spray
*Strawberries
*Cupcake Holders
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2: Put your cupcake holders in a cupcake pan and spray the cupcake holders with cooking spray.
Step 3: Make your cookie dough and roll them into one inch balls.
Step 4: Flatten out the cookie dough balls, shape them into cup-like shapes and place them into the cupcake holders. (it's a little messy but its fun!)
Step 5: Once the oven has reached 350 degrees, put the cookies in the oven for about 9 minutes.
Step 6: Take a large bowl and place two cups of your whipped cream and 2 table spoons of nutella. You can either whisk it or mix it with a mixer. (the mixer works better)
Step 7: Clean your strawberries and cut the strawberries into fourths.
Step 8: Once your cookies are done, make sure you let them cool before topping them with the nutella whip.
Step 9: after waiting for about 4 to 5 minutes, start to top your cookies with the nutella whip. Place 2 to 3 strawberries on each cookie and then top with powdered sugar for taste!
Step 10: devour and share <3
These cookies can seriously make anyone wild for you ;)
Thank you again for reading! I hope to be better about keeping up with this. Hope you all are having a wonderful summer slash doing well in summer school!
xoxo,
Kashish Ali

The Little Things
So last weekend I traveled to Dallas, Texas for an Indian wedding. Many times at these weddings you don't really know the couple getting married. Even though that was the case at this wedding, I felt right at home. The Dj was playing the best dance music. Even the aunties and uncles were on the dance floor doing the dougie. It was beautiful. Being raised in Atlanta, Georgia, I have been taught to have no shame while dancing. You best believe I was breaking it down in my sari. Anyway, I just wanted to share some of the music the Dj was playing.
(Don't Stop Believing is my all time favorite song, just so you know.)
(Even though I have not spoken a word of Spanish since high school, this song has been following me every where I go, its just a feel good jam.)
(And lastly, who doesn't love Nadia Ali?)
There was definitely more American music being played than Indian but I ain't mad. It was so cute to watch all the Nanas, Nanis, Dadas, and Dadis (grandparents) on the dance floor.
Weddings are my favorite events so I could talk about them all day but moving forward...
I'm so excited to share the coolest tricks I found on Pinterest. (I'm addicted...I think its a problem...naaa)
Fill an ice tray with melted chocolate, add the berries of your choice, and freeze them.
Cut off the sleeves of an old sweater and use them as leg warmers or socks.
Use your left over Sweethearts as chalk. (Who finishes the whole box of those anyway?)
Use a cupcake liner to prevent sticky hands and spills.
Use an old egg carton as a paint palette.
Hope these few tips help! I'll be sure to post more later!

What is Lo0o0ve?
Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more.
If you didn't already know today is Valentine's day. WHOOHOO. Whether you have a valentine or not, you should treat yourself to something sweet.
My favorite part about this day are the corny but cute valentines people give to one another.
The last thing I want to say about Valentine's day is...
Moving on, I want to share some of the things I've found just browsing the Internet, enjoy!

Beautiful
Running from errand to errand or class to class on our nine to five schedules, no one really has time to appreciate everything that is around them. Whether you forget to text/call someone back or walk by a flower and not take the time to smell and appreciate its beauty, someone or something is being neglected. Often times we take life too seriously. What is life without its beautiful people, places, and things? Nothing. Life is not always about the grades you make but the hands you shake. Meet new people, try new foods, do something out of your comfort zone, be sweet rather than just nice...
Just make your life worth living.

ps: I'm pretty sure this is the best feeling ever.

Quick Tips and Tricks!
I've come across some quick and easy tricks to make some of our lives a little easier.
Instead of icing, add a marshmallow to your cupcakes.
Just add glitter nail polish to your keys!
Use old light bulbs as mini vases.
Use old baby food jars to make homemade snow-globes!
Flip your toaster on its side and grill cheese in it!
I found all of these on Pinterest. It's probably the best thing that has happened to me since sliced bread.
xoxo,
Kashish Ali
